Last year, we were introduced to the concept of “the elf on the shelf” from a few friends.  Now that my son is almost four, I felt like this was the perfect time for Buddy, our elf, to become a little more fun and mischievous.  Of course, he moves throughout the house each night, but sometimes he gets caught in the act!

His first game was rolling our tree in toilet paper!

The next night, Buddy worked his magic on the refrigerator.  With a few drops of green food coloring, we had special Christmas milk.

The morning after a particularly frustrating tantrum, Buddy was feeling a little under the weather.

Buddy also tried his hand at Mommy’s sewing machine.  While he did get a little tangled up, he was able to make a cute holiday shirt, which he left as a gift for my son.

A few mornings later, we found Buddy playing Wii with some of his new buddies!

And, the night after I finished making my son’s stocking, Buddy appeared inside with a coloring book treat and a little hand-written note.

However, we left for our Christmas holiday without telling Buddy where we were going!  Luckily, Santa found out where we were and “mailed” Buddy to us!
